Meet the Principal

Dear Hickory Woods Families,

I can’t wait to start another year partnering with you!  I look forward to meeting our new families and reconnecting with our returning families. We value the commitment that our parents make to help Hickory Woods be top notch. Our parents spend countless hours volunteering, raising funds to support school initiatives, take part in the PTA and take an active role in their child’s education.  We are so grateful for the support from all of our families, together we make Hickory Woods a great place to be! 

Our school community is blessed with an abundance of diversity.  We have over 200 non native English speakers, our students speak over 23 different languages, we house four classrooms for students with autism and have the only classroom at the elementary level for students with severe multiple impairments.  Our school supports, embraces and builds belonging to promote inclusivity. 

Hickory Woods embraces a strong tradition of academic excellence.  We are committed to meeting the needs of all our students and continually striving to be the best educators.  The Hickory Woods staff puts their heart and soul into educating the whole child. We employ the workshop model to meet the needs of each individual child.  Teaching the whole child prepares our students to do great things in an ever changing world.
