LAYA to host 22nd annual Taste of the Lakes fundraiser
Lakes Area Youth Assistance (LAYA) is getting set to host its 22nd annual Taste of the Lakes fundraiser on Tuesday, September 19th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Edgewood Country Club (8399 Commerce Road, Commerce Twp.).
Taste of the Lakes is the only fundraiser for LAYA, whose mission is to strengthen youth and families and to reduce the incidence of delinquency, abuse, and neglect through volunteer involvement.
Sixteen restaurants are partnering with LAYA by donating food that will be available to sample at the event. These restaurants include Andale’ Mexican Cantina, Brentwood Grille, C.A.Y.A., CJ’s Brewing Co., Casey’s of Walled Lake, Crumbl Cookies, Dickey’s BBQ Pit, Edgewood Country Club, Edible Arrangements, Jet’s Pizza, Kickstand Brewery, Library Sports Pub, Olive Garden, Tim Horton’s, Urban Gyros, Wing Snob, and an ice cream station provided by Christopher Titus.
One lucky winner will receive a Shark AI Robot Vacuum Cleaner for the door prize drawing. There will also be a silent auction and many raffle opportunities to win prizes.
Tickets can be purchased at the LAYA office, the Commerce Twp. Office, the Village of Wolverine Lake, and online at www.wlcstickets.com. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
